    STORIA DELLA CANZONE:
    “So high” è una canzone tradizionale Gospel registrata da diversi artisti.
    Fra essi ricordiamo LaVern Baker che, con il titolo di “So high so low” ebbe un buon successo nel 1959, poichè raggiunse il 12° posto nella classifica di Rhythm’n’Blues americana.
    La prima registrazione di questo brano probabilmente è quella del Golden Gate Quartet nel 1949. Due anni prima la registrarono col titolo “High, low and wide”.
    Questa canzone si ispira ad un Gospel intitolato “You must come in at the door”, inciso nel 1923 dai Wiseman Sextette e ad un altro, “Twelwe gates to the city” risalente al 1935.
